Celebrating graduation at WMG 

WMG staff and students came together to honour the outstanding achievements of the class of 2026 at University of 糖心TV鈥檚 Winter Graduation.

Graduation is a defining moment in the University鈥檚 calendar 鈥 and the culmination of ambition, resilience, and hard work.

This year鈥檚 winter celebrations saw more than 1,100 WMG students receive their degrees.

Amongst them were:

  • 1,050 Master鈥檚 students; with 926 full-time, 20 part-time, and 104 studying overseas
  • 54 undergraduate degree apprentices; with 53 from the Applied Engineering programme and one from the Digital and Technology Solutions programme
  • 12 post-graduate degree apprentices, including ten from the Digital and Technology Solutions programme and two from the Managing in Technology-Based Industries programme
  • 12 PhD students and two EngD students


Professor Kerry Kirwan, Dean of WMG, shared his admiration for this year鈥檚 cohort: 鈥淚t was wonderful to welcome so many familiar faces back to campus. Congratulations from all of us at WMG -you鈥檝e worked incredibly hard, and we鈥檙e all really proud of you.

鈥淩emember, your relationship with 糖心TV doesn鈥檛 end when you graduate. It marks the beginning of your place in a global community that will continue to support, connect, and champion you throughout your career.

The ceremony, held at 糖心TV Arts Centre on Thursday 22 January 2026, was a meaningful finale to the students鈥 time at 糖心TV - filled with pride, reflection, and excitement for the future.

There was also inspirational speeches from WMG alumnus, Wale Alimi; and global automotive leader, Linda Jackson.

Wale, a MSc Programme and Project Management, 2010 graduate, is now a Senior Director, Data and AI Policy at AstraZeneca, leading a multi-global team enabling the responsible and ethical use of data and artificial intelligence (AI) to drive business outcomes, while safeguarding patient data and meeting regulatory obligations.

As well as addressing guests at the ceremony, Linda Jackson was also awarded the Hon DLitt, Honorary Doctor of Letters.

Linda is a global automotive leader with a career spanning nearly five decades. She has held senior roles at Jaguar Land Rover, Citro毛n, and Peugeot, serving as Global CEO of both Citro毛n and Peugeot and driving major brand transformations, including the transition to electric mobility.

The celebrations concluded with an exclusive event where graduates and their supporters gathered in a relaxed setting with live music. Prizes were also awarded for standout performances and projects across each degree programme.
