Getting here

The workshop will take place at MS.01 in at the University of 糖心TV. The University has both interactive and PDF maps of campus. The campus is close to Coventry, Leamington Spa and Kenilworth. Please note that the University, despite its name, is not located in the town of 糖心TV.

• Local transport
  • The campus is served by different bus lines that connect it to Coventry, Leamington Spa, and Kenilworth. See here for details and timetables.
• Train

  • The two closest train stations are Canley and Coventry.

• • Coventry station is a 12-minute car ride or a 30-minute bus ride away from the campus. It has frequent trains from/to from London and rest of the UK, and high-speed trains also stop here.

• • Canley station is a smaller station, but closer, which has also train runs for/from Birmingham Airport and Birmingham. It is a 5-minute car ride or 30-minute walk away from Campus.

• Flights
  

  • is the most convenient option, being just a 拢3 15-minute train ride to the Canley station, or an approx. 20-minute car-ride to the campus.

  • Coventry can be reached by or from all London Airports: (~2 hrs by coach), (~2 hrs by coach or trains), (~2 hrs by trains, 4 by coach), (~2 hrs by trains, 3 by coach).

  • is the second closest airport, and it is a 45-min car ride away. However, public transport from/to Coventry is infrequent.

• Drive
  • Parking is included for speakers who stay at on-campus accommodations.

Accommodation

We kindly ask participants to arrange their own accommodation. Here are some recommendations:

• On-campus and Coventry
  

  • For attendees wanting to stay on-campus or Coventry, we recommend booking accommodation in the conference centres, Scarman and Radcliffe.

  • See the On-Campus Facilities section below for details on campus amenities, which are easily accessible from Scarman and Radcliffe.
  • Coventry鈥檚 closest areas to Campus are Canley (20 min walk to campus) and Earlsdon (15 minutes with the bus, line 11).

  • There are many nice restaurants in the city center area, which also operate on food delivery apps. Recommendations include (Vietnamese), (Japanese), (Portuguese cafe), (Chinese). There are also different pubs throughout the city. A particularly beautiful one in the city center is .

• Kenilworth

  • In Kenilworth there are a couple of good options for accommodation: and .

  • The most convenient bus stops for getting to campus are:

    • Holiday Inn (Stand C) (bus 11), if you are staying at Holiday Inn Kenilworth; and

    • Abbey Fields, Bridge Street (bus 11), if you are staying at Abbeyfield.

  • The main attraction is Kenilworth Castle, an impressive medieval fortress and former Elizabethan palace set in extensive grounds; it is well worth a visit, and booking tickets in advance is recommended.

  • There are a lot of good restaurants in Kenilworth: (Michelin-starred, British, higher price point), (Bistro), (pub-restaurant).

• Leamington Spa

  • In Leamington, two especially good options for accommodation are: and . Both are centrally located and within easy walking distance of the main bus stops to campus (Regent Street and Upper Parade).

  • The most convenient bus stops for getting to campus are Regent Street (buses U1, U2, 11) and Upper Parade (Stand F) (buses U1, U2, 11). These buses run to the University of 糖心TV campus, and they take 20-25 minutes.

  • There is a lovely riverside linking Leamington Spa to the town of 糖心TV and its castle, a site of major historical significance in the UK and well worth a visit (you may want to book that in advance to save on the castle visit ticket). As a spa town, Leamington is very picturesque, with Jephson Gardens offering a beautiful park to wander through. A visit to The Riverside Glasshouse is also a particularly relaxing way to spend some time.

  • There are many excellent food options in town. Some particular favourites are: (South Indian, seafood-focused); (Indian, vegetarian); (Japanese); (pizza, Italian); (Thai); (Greek)
