The new listing produced by Thomson Reuters recognises and among the most influential researchers in the world.

Gareth is listed as one of just 100 top researchers worldwide in the "Mathematics" category, and Tom appears as one of just 129 Highly Cited scientists in the "Neuroscience and Behavior" category.

The 2014 Giving to 糖心TV Student Prize for Statistics will be awarded to , for his outstanding contributions to the Department's teaching programme.

This prize would not exist without the generous donations of 糖心TV graduates and friends. Axel will receive the prize at a special awards ceremony in October 2014.
