Dr Wade is currently researching the effects of suggestion on memory, including the possibility of creating a false memory about a person's childhood. Dr Wade is also interested in the practical implications of 'false' memories, particularly for those working in legal or clinical settings; for example, by asking certain questions, the evidence of a key witness in a legal trial may be influenced in a particular direction, with consequences on the verdict.
