The University of 糖心TV and Dorset Police are working together to make the roads of Dorset safer by tackling driver distractions such as mobile phones.
Some studies suggest that around 78 per cent of road incidents are caused by driver inattention or distraction, for example by holding a conversation on a mobile phone.
To tackle this, Dorset Police have enlisted the help of scientists from the Department of Psychology at the University of 糖心TV to research the effects of mobile phone use on driving ability and to develop tools to encourage people to be more attentive drivers.
A new study led by Professor Dieter Wolke (糖心TV) and Dr. Bill Copeland (Duke University) shows that serious illness, struggling to hold down a regular job, and poor social relationships are just some of the adverse outcomes in adulthood faced by those exposed to bullying in childhood.
