Forthcoming ARC WM Events
CLAHRC WM Leadership and Diffusion Fellows Health Informatics Workshop
The aim of the workshop is to offer an introduction to some of the types of data which are easily accessible and to offer some examples of practical projects where they have been used to underpin research proposals. This will include Hopsital Episodes Statistics (HES) data, National and International Hospital Benchmarking, travel times and access data for service reconfiguration, and how data is used within public health. The sessions are designed to be accessible to all levels of both clincial and non-clincal staff.
Speakers include:
Suzy Gallier (Clinical 糖心TV Development Lead) and Felicity Evison (Principle Research Informatician), Health Informatics, University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust
Andy Hood, Senior Healthcare Analyst, NHS Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit
Professor Tom Marshall, Professor of Public Health and Primary Care, University of Birmingham and Deputy Director of CLAHRC West Midlands
Nicola Dennis, Knowledge and Intelligence Team (West Midlands), Public Health England
Tickets are free, but as numbers are limited we would ask that you only order your ticket once you are sure you can attend/have permission from your line manager to do so. Tea and coffee will be provided on the day, but lunch is not provided so attendees will either need to bring something with them or there are facilities to purchase food nearby during the lunch break.
