Aims of the training workshop:
This workshop offers an introduction to qualitative research methods and will provide CLAHRC West Midlands Leadership and Diffusion Fellows and affiliated NIHR Trainees and Postgraduates with an understanding of the basic principles of qualitative research. It will provide participants with an awareness of qualitative data collection techniques, an overview of qualitative data analysis and critical appraisal of qualitative research.
Overall content of the training workshop:
You will hear from leading academics from Keele University, including Dr Clare Jinks, Dr Heather Burroughs and Jenny Liddle. Additionally, our own CLAHRC PPI Advisor Magdalena Skrybant will run a session on Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) in qualitative research.

The programme will run from 10am to 4pm with early morning refreshments available. We ask delegates to bring their own lunch or make their own arrangements for lunch from 1-2pm.
