James Porter PhD Viva Talk
Location: D1.07
Most of economics is equilibrium economics of one sort or another. The study of out-of-equilibrium economics has largely been neglected. I will present and overview of my thesis which, engaging with ideas and techniques from complexity science, develops frameworks and tools for out-of-equilibrium economic modelling.
I will cover a out-of-equilibrium model of exchange, a new approach to agent-based modelling, a look at how to relate international development and complexity science and a model of complex development.
