Events in MathSys and Complexity Science
This is a calendar page detailing events within the MathSys CDT. It also acts as a booking diary for the Seminar Room D1.07. To book D1.07 please email Sheetal.Sharma@warwick.ac.uk
Please note that your event booking is for D1.07 only. The adjacent common room is a private area for the MathSys Centre that cannot used as part of your booking.
MathSys CDT events have priority for D1.07 room bookings.

Complexity Forum: Ian Nabney (Aston)
Location: D 1.07
Speaker: Ian Nabney (School of Engineering and Applied Science, Aston University)
Title: Visualising Complexity
Abstract:
This talk will show how visualisation based on machine learning principles can help to understand complex systems. It will describe the principles underlying data projection - tools for representing high-dimensional data in 2D and 3D - and
how interaction with visualisation plots improves understanding. It will also describe novel methods for finding structures in information networks. These techniques will be applied to a number of datasets, including genomic data, communication networks, and MEMS devices.
Lunch: Group 3
