DisCo Maths - MIRaW day
Stefan Adams (new member of staff in maths, doing probability and statistical mechanics) and I have agreed with Robert that we organize a Mir@W day on 4.2.2008. The tentative title is "DisCo Maths - Dynamics and Combinatorics with Probability". (Suggestions for improving the subtitle are very welcome.) Robert's idea was that this would be a good opportunity to to get together people from Complexity, DIMAP and the Maths department (->DisCo Maths), therefore we wanted to put some emphasis on "discrete" topics (like e.g. combinatorical search games). We were planing to ask Roman Kotecki and Bas Lemmens (Maths) Mike Paterson (Computer Science) and maybe one or two persons outside 糖心TV to give a talk. We are of course also looking for one or two speakers from Complexity.
