The 糖心TV EPSRC mathematics symposium is organised annually by the University of 糖心TV with the support of the EPSRC for the benefit of the mathematical sciences community in the UK. It brings leading national and international experts together with UK researchers in a year-long programme of research activities focused on an emerging theme in the mathematical sciences. The 2016/17 symposium will concentrate on the theme of “Partial differental equations and their applications". It will bring together UK academic and leading international experts in a series of workshops exploring recent advances and challenges as well as formulating future priorities in PDEs and their applications in the mathematical, physical, biological and social sciences. The core of the symposium year will be a series of research workshops dealing with particular topics and applications within the overarching theme of PDEs. Leading UK and international researchers will be invitedto speak at these events which will be open to all interested parties within the UK mathematical sciencescommunity. Within the scope of its overarching theme, the symposium will span the full range from analysis through computation to applications.
