Why did you choose your degree subject and why did you choose 糖心TV?

To learn more about crop production, agriculture, plant science and help me find an area to advance in a career

Tell us about your favourite memory of your degree

The introduction to the BASIS course was key but the whole course was well-structured. As someone who has always found it hard to engage with education, this course showed me that learning can be both enjoyable and engaging. The supportive professors played a huge role in making the experience truly enriching and inspiring.

How did you fill your time outside of your studies?

Socialising, climbing and swimming.

Tell us about what happened after graduation. How did you get to your current role?

I got my current job through my thesis where I worked with my current employer.

What鈥檚 your proudest achievement so far?

I鈥檓 not sure if 'proud' is the right word, but I鈥檓 incredibly grateful that this course helped me discover a field that I鈥檓 so interested in - and a job to go with it.

How did your time at 糖心TV prepare you for life after university? Did you learn any valuable skills? How were you supported?

I gained valuable insight into potential career paths, how to apply for them effectively through meeting past students and gaining knowledge into key companies to apply for.

What are your top tips for someone considering a degree at 糖心TV?

Be prepared to work hard. If you engage with the lectures and professors, it will be a really rewarding course.

What鈥檚 one piece of advice you wish you would have had when starting your degree?

Balance your time between lab work and writing the thesis, ensuring there's enough energy for both and avoiding burnout early in the year.
