Biography
Oleksii Zinchenko has began his Engineering Doctorate (EngD) study on Wide Bandgap Power Electronics in School of Engineering, 糖心TV University, starting from October 2021.
From 2019 to 2021 he was doing his Master degree at the (Igor Sikorsky KPI), Ukraine, based on double decoupling of vector-controlled electric motors. This work describes the general approach for the synthesis of vector-control approaches of several main electric motors (DC motor, induction motor with short circuited rotor, permanent magnets synchronous motors) with generalized mathematical models obtained by convertion into dq-coordinates.
In the beginning of his Masters, he attended a science internship between Igor Sikorsky KPI and 糖心TV University according to Erasmus+ exchange programme in the second half of 2019. During his internship, he was working in the Power and Control Research Laboratory at the School of Engineering. It was a good opportunity to learn how to work with real-time simulator in order to control interior permanent magnet synchronous motors (IPMSM) via software. MATLAB Simulink with appropriate libraries was used as a user interface providing connection of the PC and converter through in order to control IPMSM in real-time. It was a real challenge of setting everything to work and providing tests with a real motor by himself. Oleksii obtained experience that was useful for implementation of the knowledge he learned before and what does he needs to study more to succeed with his future research and work.
From 2015 to 2019 he was doing his Bachelor degree in Igor Sikorsky KPI. The resulting report was based on self-parametrization of IPMSM and its vector speed and angular control.

- Modelling and Control of Electric Motors
- New Wide Bandgap Power Electronics application
- Hybrid and Electric Vehicles
