Bear in mind that these schemes have long lead times (typically 6-12 months), often only have one deadline per year and are highly competitive. Potential PhD Students
The funding landscape for PhD studies in the UK is quite complex. A comprehensive listing can be found and advice can be provided by the . International students are best advised to apply for the Scheme. This is highly competitive so only the most able students should consider applying. Self-funding international students with appropriate experience and qualifications will also be considered. Home/EU students may receive support from the Research Councils (via DTG, CDT) or by funds provided by the University in partnership with other sponsors typically from industry.
