Gibson Group: Lucienne Otten
Biography
Lucienne Otten was born in Wageningen, The Netherlands in 1990 and moved to Cambridgeshire in 1994. From 2008-2011, Lucienne studied Animal Science at the University of Nottingham and completed a final year data analysis dissertation entitled 鈥楻umination and Methane emissions in Dairy Cows鈥� under the supervision of Prof. Phil Garnsworthy. From 2011-2012, Lucienne carried out an MSc in Systems Biology through the Systems Biology DTC at The University of 糖心TV funded by the BBSRC (Lucienne鈥檚 Systems Biology page can be found and ResearchGate profile ). Lucienne has completed her PhD on "Pathogen Detection Based on Carbohydrate Adhesion" under the supervision of and and has now become a qualified teacher as part of the programme which allows her to continue her research whilst teaching science in a secondary school. Lucienne also taught University style tutorials in Biology at low participation schools with and regularly volunteers as ambulance crew with .
