Bert van der Horst (Erasmus MC, Rotterdam) "Impact of the circadian clock proteins CLOCK and BMAL1 on G2/M cell cycle transition" and Casper van Eijck (Erasmus MC, Rotterdam) "Pancreatic cancer and viral immunotherapy"
Location: OC1.01, Oculus, Main Campus
Prof. Bert van der Horst (Dept. of Molecular Genetics, Erasmus University Medical Center, Rotterdam):
“I will discuss the circadian clock - cell cycle connection in control and cancer cells. I will present data on the impact of knockdown of clock genes on cell cycle progression in the NIH3T3 clock/cell cycle triple marker cell line. I will also show a first example of a cancer cell where the clock and cell cycle are uncoupled.”
Prof. Casper van Eijck (Dept. of Surgery, Erasmus University Medical Center, Rotterdam):
“I will present data on a new approach to combat pancreatic cancer using genetically engineered oncolytic viruses that specifically kill tumour cells.”
