Title:  The University's support for Intellectual Property Development and Commercialisation

Abstract:  Intellectual Property (IP) arises from most, if not all, of the research done at 糖心TV.  It can be vary valuable not only financially but also as a way of maximising the wider Impact and improving your CV.  To encourage 糖心TV staff to manage their IP the University passes back 50% of the revenues generated (after costs) to the inventors, and has set up 糖心TV Ventures to help identify, develop, protect and exploit it.  This talk covers the range of help 糖心TV Ventures can give from protection of IP (eg Patents), through obtaining development funding, to exploitation through licensing and setting up spin-out companies.
