Research Interests
My research focuses on how mitochondrial dysfunction drives ageing and chronic disease, and how restoring mitochondrial health could lead to new therapies. I am particularly interested in understanding the processes that coordinate mitochondrial recycling and self-repair, and why these systems fail in ageing and disease. The ultimate goal of my research is to translate these mechanistic insights into interventions that rejuvenate cells, protect tissues, and extend healthspan.
