Accolade - Public Engagement: Principles of effective collaboration
Collaborative working is a highly useful transferable skill. This session draws on expertise from 糖心TV鈥檚 Community and Public Engagement teams, supporting you to develop your engagement practice and feel confident in your approach, especially as we all adapt to working in new ways. We鈥檒l be covering advice for working with a range of different partners, including: voluntary sector, community groups, and local authorities.
Learning outcomes:
- Consider the strategic importance of working with public and community partners for your career/the university
- Understand what makes for good and bad engagement with external partners including public, community groups, local authority partners etc.
The majority of the session will be shaped around the dilemmas and questions you put forward, but indicative topics that may be covered include:
- Develop strategies for maintaining relationships with public and community partners
- Identify ways of working and building trust with partners online and face to face
