At the beginning of her Pathways to Knowledge (P2K) Fellowship, Roxanne's first book, Feminist Gothic, Critical Irrealism and Arab Women’s World-Literature: ‘Living with Ghosts’ was published with Palgrave Macmillan's ‘New Comparisons in World Literature’ series, and she held her book launch at the IAS.

During her P2K Fellowship Roxanne made significant headway into her second monograph, which uses world-literary methods to engage with women's apocalyptic writing from across the world. This included running the '

'Women in World-Literature: Climate, Crisis, and Contagion' Link opens in a new windowconference, which highlighted the feminisation of ecological and health costs and consequences of the world-system. Roxanne is in the process of editing an essay collection based on this conference, and also launched the Women in World-Literature network.

Roxanne has used the P2K Fellowship to write and publish a chapter or the Cambridge Companion to World-Gothic Literature, and an article titled ‘S/oil: the Energetic Potential of the Dead in Arab Women’s Petrogothic Writing’ for the Journal of Postcolonial Writing. She also has several publications forthcoming that she completed during this time, including a chapter titled ‘Knowing how it ends: Apocalypses in Arab women’s creative works’ for Arabic Literature & the Fantastic; a short piece for The Routledge Handbook of Global Horror titled ‘Egypt: Hyphen-horror Picture Shows’; and a paper on ‘Precarious Entanglements: Women and the Environment at the End of the World’ for a special issue of International Journal of Politics, Culture, and Society.

She also made lifelong friends, had a lot of laughs, and will champion the work of the invaluable work of the IAS at ÌÇÐÄTV for the rest of her career.
