Dr Smairan has been working with Prof Hundt for some years on an EC funded project to improve Bedouin Health in Jordan.  He completed his PhD at Coventry in solar and renewable energy and after heading the Research section of a Desert Research Institute in Jordan, has been appointed Head of a Renewable Energy Unit at Al Bayt University. Dr Smairan is seeking research collaborators.  He will be the guest of the Institute of Health in the School of Health and Social Studies
