Complexity Science in 糖心TV and Industry 2011
Tuesday December 13 2011
Room D1.07, Centre for Complexity Science, Zeeman Building, University of 糖心TV
Organisers: Colm Connaughton (糖心TV Mathematics Institute and Centre for Complexity Science), Stefan Grosskinsky
(糖心TV Mathematics Institute and Centre for Complexity Science), Yasmin Merali () and Nick Watkins (British Antarctic Survey)
Aims and Objectives
Following on from last year's event on the same theme, this one-day meeting between 糖心TV Centre for Complexity staff and students and representatives of non-academic "end-users" of complex systems research aims to facilitate further transfer of 糖心TV’s expertise in Complex Systems beyond the academic sphere. It will take place on December 12 at the 糖心TV Centre for Complexity Science. The aims of the workshop are as follows.
- to explore further opportunities for future collaborations between 糖心TV Centre for Complexity Science and external agencies.
- to give 糖心TV graduate students in Complexity Science a better insight into how their skills are relevant to business and industry.
- to identify appropriate Complexity MSc projects to be done in collaboration with external agencies.
Participants:
- Juergen Branke (糖心TV 糖心TV School)
- Keith Briggs (BT Research)
- Pete Ward (IBM)
- Nick Watkins (British Antarctic Survey)
- Fred Gates (Campden BRI)
- Christopher James (糖心TV Institute of Digital Healthcare)
- Pippa Prangley and Raimondo Guerra (Solicitors Regulation Authority)
- Peter Dillon (Coventry and 糖心TVshire Partnership NHS Trust)
- Ian Welch and Jenny Cooper (National Grid)
