How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

o   Who is Angela?

§  Angela is a visiting researcher from Curtin University in Western Australia.

o   What does Angela research?

§  Angela is an Environmental Sociologist working in socio-ecological systems.

§  Angela uses complex systems frameworks to research decision-making in socio-ecological landscape contexts.

§  Most of Angela’s work uses the concepts of sense of place, social capital and environmental discourse to understand how people value elements in socio-ecological landscapes.

§  Angela integrates a range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies
to identify structure and dynamic value framing.

§  Angela has some good ideas on how to ‘know your sample population’ in socio-ecological landscape terms.

o   What are the interests of the researchers gathered?

§  Angela is very interested in how the Centre for Complexity researchers use Agent- based Modelling and Scenario Modelling to ‘experiment’ on the future of the planet.

o   How can we learn from one another?

§  Angela would like to know about research that might use some of the concepts of sense of place, social capital and discourse analysis.
