Title: Building networks from the bottom up
Abstract: Using an exact statistical physics formulation of transferring information from data to a model of the observations, we show how to use the path integral involved to analyze individual neurons and discuss our ideas on how to work with networks to determine functional connectivity of the network. We will illustrate the tools within the formal structure in examples from nonlinear circuits and some geophysical models as well as discuss their application in neuroscience.
