Title: RNA silencing networks
Abstract:
RNA silencing involves short non coding RNA (sRNAs) that interact with target RNA or DNA. The consequence of this interaction may be simple gene silencing at posttranscriptional or transcriptional levels. However in some instances more there is a more complex process in which secondary sRNAs are produced that can either reinforce silencing of the primary target or that silence secondary targets. The consequence of these RNA silencing interactions is that there are networks of interacting RNAs with positive and negative feedback loops. I and my group members will describe our approaches to analysis of these systems based on combined experimental and computational approaches.
