Subject: Please forward to your academics and post graduates
I am working with the engineering department to raise awareness of a new university wide reserch institute that has been set up. I would be very gr ateful if you could please forward this e-mail on to all the academics and post-graduates within your department.
Would you like to become a little wiser about WISER?
In October 2006 the Vice Chancellor gave his support to the establishment of the 糖心TV Institute for Sustainable Energy and Resources (WISER). It聮s intended that WISER will provide a forum for the development and pursuit of energy-related multidisciplinary research, development, demonstration and deployment activities.
WISER will be holding a FREE 1 day workshop on 24th April in Scarman House to bring together those people within the University of 糖心TV whose research has some focus on energy in order to start to build a community of people to make WISER a university wide success.
The workshop will enable you to forge links with those academics who share similar and/or complementary research interests, but will also give you an opportunity to hear from both academics and external speakers from industry who will talk about their perception of key energy challenges and issues.
The workshop is open to all interested academic, post-doctoral and post-graduate researchers. There is no charge for attending however numbers are limited to 100.
To register please e-mail H.M.O-Connor@warwick.ac.uk with you name and contact details including the department in which you are based.
