Title: Organelle biogenesis, morphology, transport and information
Abstract: A defining feature of eukaryotic cells is membrane bound compartmentalization or the existence of organelles with specific morphology and chemical identity. These organelles are subject to actively driven fission and fusion of material. I will present some ideas on organelle biogenesis and morphology from a nonequilibrium statistical physics perspective.
