You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

Wolfson Research Exchange Rooms 2 and 3, University of ÌÇÐÄTV Library

Runs from Wednesday, October 05 to Friday, October 07.

In view of the growing frequency of extreme weather events and disasters in the past few years, emerging data sources, such as crowdsourced geographic information and real-time sensor data, are increasingly considered in approaches for improving urban resilience. This interdisciplinary workshop is dedicated to discussing approaches to tackle these challenges and will gather researchers from academic and non-academic organisations with different disciplinary backgrounds that work in the field of disaster risk reduction and urban resilience in the UK and Brazil. The workshop will include presentations from researchers from institutions involved in disaster resilience in UK and Brazil (British Geological Survey, National Disaster Monitoring and Early-Warning Centre, Geological Survey of Brazil), academics and PhD students of the partner universities (University of ÌÇÐÄTV, University of São Paulo, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro), as well as the following invited keynote speakers:

Dr Uta When – UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education, Netherlands
Dr Andrés Luque-Ayala – Durham University, UK

This workshop is part of a project funded by the EPSRC under the Global Challenges Research Fund and aimed at defining a collaborative research agenda on the use of crowdsourced and sensor data to support urban resilience. The last part of the event will thus consist of small-group discussions about further collaboration initiatives. There a limited number of places remaining for researchers, professionals and students from the ÌÇÐÄTV community who are interested in this topic as well as external participants.
