A common problem for lecturers is dealing with a passive class, where students are unresponsive and avoid interaction with the tutor and each other. This can be a frustrating experience for both parties.
The workshop will have a practical focus and will consider;
- the benefits of student interaction in class
- different types of interaction
- the challenges of incorporating interaction from a lecturer's perspective and how these can be evaluated
