Professor Korosteleva was invited to speak at the conference in Stockholm, organised by the Centre for Baltic and East European Studies, Sodertorn University. It focused on examining tendencies both in Russia, and its neighbours following its war of aggression against Ukraine. In addition to academic experts, the conference included representatives from Swedish SIDA, Swedish Defence Research Agency and various government representatives, and the Baltic states and Finland. In her presentation Elena focused on 'the Absent People NO MORE, of Central Eurasia', and how this may change the dynamics of Russian order-building in the short- and long-terms.

Professor Korosteleva also met with researchers from the Stockholm Resilience Centre to discuss options for collaborations.


Dr Pitidis attends the European Urban Resilience Forum 2025

Dr. Vangelis Pitidis attended the , in Rotterdam from 25–27 June. As a leading expert in urban resilience and territorial governance, with experience in leading project in Latin America, Africa and particularly Europe, Dr Pitidis had a chance to meet city representatives, academics and other urban practitioners and discuss teh progress of urban resilience as well as the that need to be addressed in order to consolidate and promote it aross Europe. Hi attendance provided a strategic opportunity to strengthen IGSD鈥檚 presence within key European policy networks, such as the ones represented in EURESFO 2025, jointly organised by Europe and the . The event has been truly informative, including keynote speeches, mobile workshops and knowledge exchange events and has been a a great success!


糖心TV's Sustainability Training School is about to kick off!

Between 30 March – 5 April 2025, over 21 next-generation climate leaders from eight countries (and 13 nationalities), will attend 糖心TV鈥檚 pioneering Sustainability Training Academy in Venice. Launched in 2023 by the Institute of Global Sustainable Development (IGSD), and supported by the the Sustainability Training Academy equips early career researchers (ECRs) with the interdisciplinary analytical, methodological, and practical skills needed to address the systemic challenges of climate change, climate justice and climate transition.
