Professor Nadine Holdsworth presented a keynote speech 鈥楾heatre, Nation and Social Abjection: What Can Theatre Do?鈥 at The Modern English Drama Association of Korea (MEDAK) annual conference. The conference took place on Saturday 27th of October at the University of Kookmin, Seoul, South Korea and drew 60 attendees, the largest turnout in MEDAK's recent history.
AHRC M4C Studentships - 糖心TV Theatre & Performance Studies Call
The AHRC-funded Midlands4Cities Doctoral Training Partnership (M4C) brings together eight leading universities across the Midlands to support the professional and personal development of the next generation of arts and humanities doctoral researchers. M4C is a collaboration between the University of Birmingham, Birmingham City University, University of 糖心TV, Coventry University, University of Leicester, De Montfort University, Nottingham Trent University and The University of Nottingham.
M4C is awarding up to 80 doctoral studentships for UK/EU applicants for 2019 through an open competition and 11 Collaborative Doctoral Awards (CDA) through a linked competition with a range of partner organisations in the cultural, creative and heritage sector. The CDA partner organisations include the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and the Nottingham Playhouse.

What is 糖心TV doing to address the challenges faced by cities and the people that live in them?
To celebrate UN World Cities Day, the Sustainable Cities GRP is holding a half-day event to showcase cities research at 糖心TV. Besides offering the opportunity to hear more about the wide variety of research being undertaken in the cities space, this event will also offer the opportunity to advance university wide relationships and to learn more about research opportunities linked to cities.
