Actor of Japanese-descent needed 10th March in Coventry

The shoot requires an actor of Japanese descent to portray a chef and/or appearance to act in an upmarket restaurant. The piece that we’re making is a promotional film about how British produce is exported to many different countries, Japan being one of them. Therefore, we will be showing a Japanese chef preparing some ingredients for a contemporary Japanese dish in a restaurant in Tokyo for the hero shot. The role is non-speaking and previous cooking experience is not required.

We are a small, friendly crew from the in-house AHDB video team (two of which are also recent graduates) so any applicants shouldn’t feel intimated by this project or the shoot. This is a great opportunity for an actor/background artist that fits the ethnicity required, has a warm smile and is able to appear like they are enjoying a meal. The shots are more like pack-shots in a commercial as this is not a dramatic piece.

The age range is between 18 – 30.

The total pay is £190.

Total shoot time: four hours

Call time: 9am – 1pm

Date: Tuesday 10th March 2020.

Location: Street restaurant in Earlsdon.
