Ella Flavell publishes article on Ferdinand Cheval
New article by PhD student Ella Flavell, titled "'The Distance from Dream to Reality' Ferdinand Cheval in the Surrealist Imagination, 1924-1945', published in Aspectus. It assesses the interaction of Cheval with the Surrealists Max Ernst and André Breton, questioning his cannibalisation and mythologisation within their works and his construction as a ‘proto-Surrealist.’
