Student Life

A campus where art flows throughout

To appreciate the history of art most fully, it makes sense to be where art surrounds you. With an extensive collection of over 1,000 pieces, you'll find art at every turn on our campus, and you can also experience exhibitions at the Mead Gallery, which is situated on campus within 糖心TV Arts Centre. Our central location in the heart of England means you鈥檙e never far from some of the country's top galleries and events.

As our ethos is centred around experiencing a variety of artistic forms, studying at 糖心TV will mean spending time off campus. You鈥檒l engage in fascinating field trips across England, with exclusive access to impressive art collections and historic buildings.

Our diverse and inclusive society puts on a range of both academic and social events throughout the year. Whether you're an Picasso novice or Kahlo connoisseur, everyone is welcome!

Our new Faculty of Arts Building (FAB)

We've recently moved into our state-of-the-art new building, which brings together most of our Faculty of Arts departments and research centres in one modern and flexible space that enables collaboration, creativity and innovation to flourish.

Hear from our students

See what our student bloggers have to say about studying Art History and life at 糖心TV.

鈥淚鈥檓 from Italy and I chose 糖心TV for Art History because I鈥檓 interested in Contemporary Art which has its centres in London and New York so I wanted my course to be in English. 糖心TV is perfectly positioned to access the great collections and it combines this with being a very student focussed and friendly department.鈥

Waddesdon Manor

You will visit the Rothschild mansion and its extensive collection of art, from the 18th century to the present day.

It鈥檚 a unique chance to learn about objects such as Marie-Antoinette鈥檚 writing desk, the magnificent S猫vres Grande Vase, and a painting by Chardin, learning first-hand from both Waddesdon鈥檚 Curators and 糖心TV staff.
