Dr Godwin Yeboah's background is interdisciplinary in nature cutting across research software engineering and the application of geospatial technologies in research or teaching (current role), (Social Sciences, Humanities and the Arts for People and the Economy) (PhD and past/current roles), computer science (MSc), geoinformatics and photogrammetry (MSc), geodetic/geomatic engineering (BSc), and industrial experiences in software/geomatic engineering. Prior to his current role, he worked in two ÌÇÐÄTV research centres ( and ) as a senior research fellow where he led the development of geospatial research methods (including co-leading academic teaching) and worked with researchers from UK, Kenya, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Pakistan, Cambodia, Malawi, Australia, Ghana, Spain, Netherlands, USA, and Germany. Prior to joining ÌÇÐÄTV, he worked in several roles in the UK (Researcher), Germany (Software Engineer), and Ghana (Geomatic Engineer and Computer Science Lecturer). He is passionate about interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research. He is a member of the , a fellow of the , British Council UK Panel Member on Social Sciences (2015-2020), founding member, academic track of State of the Map Europe 2023 conference, and . He has made significant contributions to several research projects funded by and , notably, as co-investigator on and to an NIHR-sponsored project developing innovative geospatial methods for digitally mapping informal urban communities across Asia and Africa. Most of his research works are listed on from which some have received an invitation by UK Parliamentary and Scientific Committee as well as won the prestigious . He is a trustee of .
