How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

H450
Keynote speakers: Dr James Vigus (Queen Mary University of London)
Dr Gabriele De Luca (University of Pisa)
An interdisciplinary seminar bridging Italian and English literature and philosophy

Chair:

(Queen Mary University of London), Pitchforked chaos or mosaic method? Coleridge鈥檚 philosophical sources

(Scuola Normale Superiore, Pisa), Coleridge and Vico between influence and theoretical affinity

(University of Birmingham) and (糖心TV), Quotations and hidden sources. Experiences in reading the Zibaldone

Scholars in literature, arts and philosophy normally deal with such notions as 鈥渟ource鈥, 鈥渋nfluence鈥, 鈥渞elationship鈥 between writers, movements, periods. What does an alleged 鈥渋nfluence鈥 really consist of? How do we detect the nature of a 鈥渞elationship鈥 between authors? What does a writer really want to say when recalling another one? How do 鈥渋nfluences鈥 work when applied to different genres, such as poetry and philosophy? These questions become more and more challenging when addressing European Romanticisms. Post-Revolutionary years witnessed the most radical questioning of literary tradition after the Renaissance. We will be discussing this with Dr James Vigus and Dr Gabriele De Luca, who focused those theoretical issue on a paradigmatic figure of Romanticism: S. T. Coleridge.
