About: Anna Douglas's curatorial projects offer imaginative ways of engaging with historical material, often re-animating collections of photographs and involving oral history participation. In 2017, her exhibition of post-war photographer Roger Mayne opened at The Photographer’s Gallery, touring to the Djanogly Gallery, Nottingham, and the exhibition ‘Shirley Baker: Women and Children; and Loitering Men’ launched at The Photographer’s Gallery, London (2015), before touring to Madrid and Manchester. For the seminar, she will be talking about an exhibition with the 1960 British film, ‘Saturday Night and Sunday Morning’ at its heart.
