Dr Helena Miguélez Carballeira is Senior Lecturer in Hispanic Studies at Bangor University and a British Academy Mid-Career Fellow in 2015-16. Her research focuses on the many faces of internal postcolonial conflict in contemporary Spain, specialising particularly on questions of historical practice, political cultures and gendered rhetorics.
