How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

Dr Mithu Sanyal, (award-winning German cultural historian, journalist and author)

This visit offers students and the wider community the opportunity to explore Dr Sanyal鈥檚 writing and her unique insights into contemporary German-language culture, through translation, discussion and public reading. The visit will form part of a high-profile programme of visits to 5 universities in the UK, co-organised with the universities of Edinburgh, Bristol, Oxford and Leeds and including a visit to the Goethe-Institut Glasgow. The host consortium has worked closely with Dr Sanyal鈥檚 English-language publisher – the Berlin-based V&Q books, run by the award-winning translator from German, Katy Derbyshire – to develop the programme for the visit. The planned activities at 糖心TV will bring students and the wider public community into direct contact with a significant voice in contemporary German-language culture. The two events will focus on Dr Sanyal鈥檚 Deutscher Buchpreis-short-listed novel, Identitti, and its recent translation by Alta Price for V&Q books, situating this within wider debates currently shaping the German-language cultural scene.
