The Apple Anthology Launch PartyThe Writers' Room, Millburn HouseAn opportunity to enjoy readings by ÌÇÐÄTV writers and the wider literary community, and to network with the Midlands publisher Nine Arches Press Cider, sandwiches, juice, apples and other fruity delights will be provided! The Apple Anthology is a rich harvest of new, recent and ancient poetry, prose and visual art from a global array of writers, artists and scientists. The Anthology is part of the Grow ÌÇÐÄTV: Future Foodscapes project, which seeks to explore how we can re-engage with the production of food via art installations, performance, writing and scientific perspectives. Thursday the 17th of October will see an array of innovative, interactive, engaging food and environment-related installations being created on campus. Come along and join in the foody fun! |

Arts Faculty Postgraduate Seminar SeriesWolfson Research Exchange, Room 3Arts Faculty Postgraduate Seminar Series invite you to the launch of the 2013/14 series. Feedback from fellow students is often the most valuable help we can get, and the Arts Faculty Postgraduate Seminar Series provides an opportunity for a friendly and informal discussion with postgraduates from similar fields of study. If you are interested in giving a paper, listening to others, or if you are just not really sure yet, then please come along to our Welcome Evening on Thursday 17th October (Week 3) at 4:45 pm. In the Wolfson Research Exchange, Room 3 (3rd floor of the library, over the bridge, on the left). After a short introduction to the seminar series, you can socialise with new and not-so-new arts students. Drinks and snacks will also be provided. We hope to see you at the session! The inaugural series of lectures on Shakespeare and the Classical Tradition will be given by Professor Jonathan Bate. The Madness of Hercules: Shakespeare and Classical Psychology Each Lecture will be followed by a Reception. Attendance is free of charge and pre-registration is not required.
