Child Care Archives: Problems, Opportunities, and ConsequencesWolfson Research ExchangeThe conference has been designed for people who work with personal archives of children and families, or the archives of organisations and services concerned with children and their families, including social workers, lawyers, administrators, researchers and care leavers.The aim of the conference is to give an overview of the issues involved in the use of records for research, teaching purposes, litigation, and review by the people who were the subjects of the records. A wide range of speakers will provide inputs from different areas of expertise. It is intended to explore the issues, opportunities and complexities involved in the location, accession, retention, management and use of child care archives.
The conference will also include a workshop session in which delegates can contribute their own areas of expertise or concern, with a view to identifying any action which may need to be undertaken concerning child care archives.
