This presentation reflects upon two museum-based collaborations in order to interrogate race, freedom and Caribbean mobility as they intersect with museum practice and decolonial perspectives on archival collections. I focus particularly on gendered histories of labour in Caribbean ports and the relationship between archipelagic and transatlantic experiences to consider routes towards exhibiting the region鈥檚 history.
