Professor Deshpande (Delhi School of Economics) has been publishing on the economics of discrimination for the past decade. This lunchtime discussion will address: How is it possible to 'measure' discrimination? Why would anyone ever want to? How is it possible to 'translate', or make mutually intelligible, disparate qualitative and quantitative research methods? It is an opportunity to learn from an experienced researcher as well as to connect with new researches, talk about your own work, and generally compare notes.
