Ancient Drama Day for Schools - 7th February 2014
On 7th February 2014, the staff and students of ÌÇÐÄTV Classics Department will be hosting an Ancient Drama Day for Schools based around a performance of Plautus' Pseudolous, directed and acted by ÌÇÐÄTV Classics Students. In addition, staff and students will be giving lectures and seminars on the contexts of ancient Greek and Roman Drama, the processes of production and performance as well, as well as introduction students to studying at university. This event is ideal for GCSE and AS/A2 students in Latin, Greek, Ancient history, Classical Civilisation, Drama and English (no previous experience of ancient world required). The day will run from 10.00-4.15pm. 125 students and teachers from a wide variety of schools across the country are attending the event. It is supported by an Impact grant from the Humanities Research Fund and an IATL Student as Performer Grant.
