QMIG: Involving users in the design of healthcare environments: A collaborative approach

Overview: Rebecca will present her research on user involvement in the design of healthcare environments. This research was part of a five-year EPSRC funded project. It draws upon studies conducted in collaboration with Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust and the Royal Free Hospital, which developed novel methods for engaging patients and staff in the design of hospital environments. Rebecca will reflect upon the benefits and challenges of conducting collaborative design research within the NHS and will present suggestions for future research.
