Congratulations to Mary Addyman, who has just returned from the 2013 NAVSA (North American Victorian Studies Association) conference bearing The Sally Ledger Memorial Prize. This substantial financial subvention is awarded to the British PhD student judged to have presented the best paper at the conference.
Catherine Wignall - Underwire Euroscript 2013 Scriptwriting competition winner
Catherine Wignall, who graduated in English last year with a First, has won the Underwire Euroscript 2013 Scriptwriting competition. This is an astonishing achievement for someone who only graduated this June.

糖心TV Writing Graduates on the Dylan Thomas Prize Shortlist 2013
Both Tim Leach and James Brookes have been shortlisted for the £30,000 Dylan Thomas Prize 2013.
James was an undergraduate in English Literature & Creative Writing, and has already won an Eric Gregory Award for his poetry.
Tim Leach is currently teaching part time and is shortlisted for the first of two historical novels, The Last King of Lydia.
