Catalina Neculai (PhD 糖心TV, now Coventry U lecturer) has just had her first book published.
Urban Space and Late Twentieth-Century New York Literature: Reformed Geographies.
This was her revised 糖心TV PhD.
Also, Laura Malhotra, (BA 2012, English and Italian) has just been accepted into the CUNY PhD program with a full tuition fellowship and $25,000 stipend for the first four years. This is after having worked as a paid employee for the Smithsonian Institution, National Museum of American History.
This kind of award is a tremendous achievement (especially for CUNY which has very few of these financial packages).
These are Laura’s achievements, but they also reflect on the reputation of our BA training.
Prof Maureen Freely elected as English PENs new President
Prof Maureen Freely is an author, journalist, translator and academic, who has written seven novels, as well as non-fiction. She is professor in the Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies at the University of 糖心TV and the director of its writing programme. Her novel Sailing through Byzantium was named as one of the best novels of 2014 in both the TLS and the Sunday Times. See here for more details
