Assessment
This module is assessed by a 6,000 word essay (or 8,000 if taken as a 36-CATS course), which is due on in January 2027.
Students should come up with their own essay titles in dialogue with course tutors. Tutors keep office hours during term time, and you should feel free to approach your tutor during these times, or at an alternative mutually agreed time. You鈥檒l find a tutor鈥檚 office hours on their page on the Department鈥檚 website. Essays for this module should not attempt to cover everything. Please focus on the particular aspects of the module that most interested you.
Essays for this module must:
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of a range of British drama and theatre;
- Interrogate conceptual approaches by means of primary texts and vice versa;
- Demonstrate an understanding of the historical trajectory of British drama and theatre since 1965.
Essays are marked according to the criteria in the course handbook.
