During 2013-2018, the project team introduced school pupils to Latin inscriptions and trained teachers in how to incorporate Latin inscriptions into the teaching of different subjects, including Art and Design, English, History, and Maths, as well as Classical Civilisation and Latin. We created new displays in the Ashmolean Museum, in the Rome, Randolph, Reading and Writing, and Mediterranean Galleries. We gave public lectures and visited schools, and played a role in public engagement events in the museum, including at Dead Friday and Remembering the Romans.

The legacy of the project includes:

• online resources for primary and secondary schools for Key Stage 1-2, GCSE, and A level Latin, Classical Civlisation
• sessions for primary schools at the Ashmolean
• featuring inscribed objects now on display in the museum
• workshops at 糖心TV and the British School at Rome, which promoted dialogue between museum curators and classical epigraphers in the UK and Europe, discussing how to promote public engagement in and appreciation of inscriptions in museums.
