The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

2nd Annual Gafoor Lecture on Indentureship Studies

The 2nd Annual Gafoor Lecture on Indentureship Studies is now live and bookable:

In collaboration with the Yesu Persaud Centre for Caribbean Studies (University of 糖心TV), the Institute of Commonwealth Studies is delighted to invite Tina K. Ramnarine (Royal Holloway, University of London) to deliver this year鈥檚 Gafoor Lecture on Indentureship Studies.

In addition, we are pleased to announce two special poetry readings. In response to his research in Senate House Library鈥檚 Cheddi Jagan archive, poet Mr Gee will perform a new piece inspired by the life of this remarkable politician. Following this, the Commonwealth Writers organisation, who recently commissioned a unique piece of joint-poetry from the descendants of indenture, will close the event with the first public reading of this exciting new work.
